Carrefax is my [not so] recently adopted blogging monicker named after the necrophilliac hero in Tom McCarthy’s novel C. I don’t happen to be a necrophilliac myself, I just thought the name had more going on than my real one.
In essence, this is just another law blog. My legal interests revolve principally around criminal law and the law of evidence, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be veering off into legal territory where I feel less comfortable. I won’t be going anywhere near commercial law. I just don’t get it.
My day job is law reporting. I write for the Weekly Law Reports, Official Law Reports (AC and QB) and I do a bit of freelance reporting for The Times and the Road Traffic Reports. I was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple
a couple of years ago and will be embarking on my pupillage at a mixed set later this year three years ago and in the event declined my offer of pupillage.
Any views expressed here are mine and mine alone. I should also say that absolutely nothing on this blog should be taken to amount to legal advice in any way, shape or form. Anyone labouring under the misapprehension that anything does amount to advice does so at completely their own peril.
